Digital media, broadly understood, shapes lives and determines livelihoods. We need to understand these changes, discuss their implications, and use these insights to shape the futures we want. The Digital Cultures Institute is dedicated to initiating, support and coordinating world-class research in Aotearoa New Zealand. This vital work takes time, money and energy, and so requires financial and in-kind support. The Institute is registered as Charitable Trust #2720451.
The Institute seeks to support the work of graduate and undergraduate students engaged in digital cultures research through discussions, master classes, and individual feedback sessions. If your department or university is interested in partnering with us in this work, please get in touch.
Companies may choose to sponsor a project, funding research into a topic of mutual interest. Sponsored research directly facilitates investigation and exploration into relevant real-world issues and emerging conditions, tailored for a particular geographical area or industry sector. In sponsoring a project, companies not only benefit from the creation of new knowledge, but demonstrate a consideration of the people and things they impact, and a commitment to the future well-being of Aotearoa more generally.
